Hi all,

Several local researchers need ripe (black) eggs from local wild white sturgeon to do important studies. Please contact me directly if you are even slightly interested in helping and are likely to get some white sturgeon w/ripe eggs this season.

Thanks

Well, we plan on catching lotttttts of sturgies!!! :) :) :) :)

If we happen to fullfill our plans, or anyone else out there, how would we preserve them once harvested from a "legal keeper"??

I am sure everyone that is willing to participate will need this info.

Hey Marty,
my friends and I have been catching quite a few sturgeon lately and would have no problem transporting a live, gravid, animal to you. However, as you know I fish only catch & release and would hate to harvest a fish with premature eggs. Do you have a pen where I can drop a live fish in to ripen up if she doesn't appear to be ready to drop?
Let me know I would love to help. ZACK!
