* Today was the first time this year me and two of by buddies got to fish the Montezuma . Put in at Belden lauch @8am went to the cable crossing and set the anchor just before the tide changed. Waited for the tide to swing us on the out going . Got a couple taps on two poles .Then it happened ,my pole bent and i set the hook. *[smiley=excited.gif]the fight was on ,let the anchor float as we tried to gain line back on the reel. After about 30 minutes got him near the boat and two more runs . Finally got him to blow air and he gave up to the snare. Pulled him into the boat to measure, after measureing him 7or 8 times 66" The warden stopped to see it and checked it out. Very nice man doing a great job .

Congrats on your catch. Looks like them Dinos are in the swing of things :). I've been down Monty just once for stripers and seen many a boats parked on the side in the tules. I guess they were after Dinos there (?).
