Hey this link is for those that might not know the differance between White and Green Sturgeon, Better take a peak because Fish and Game does.

Thank's for showing this link. It is very helpful for me since this weekend will be the first fishing for sturgeon.

Can you keep both Sturgeons if they meet the size limit? I am assuming the green ones have to be release if catch.

Never seen a green, in person that is. Does anyone ever catch many in the delta area? I hear about them being caught in the upper sac, colusa, etc.

The green ones must be released and to be safe they shouldn't be removed from the water. If you bring him on your boat the F&G could claim you had him in possession. :o

Hi all,

Yep. *Greens are caught in the Delta, Suisun Bay, San Pablo Bay, etc.

Also, only green sturgeon have less than 31 midlateral scutes. Counting them is a good idea, because head shapes and coloration vary a lot.

Thanks
