Rick, Mongo said he was gonna post the pictures tonight while he is at work. I was just waiting to post on the same thread. We did get two Dinos in the boat on Wednesday. Mongo had to release his as it was just below the slot. Mine was 54 and 1/2 inches. Both were caught during the first hour of the incoming tide near light 36 about 1/2 mile above the Rio Vista bridge in 29 feet of water, the bait was Ghost with Herring Gel. The battle was pretty exciting to say the least. My Ugly Stick Tiger got a good work out. Tuesday we fished at the power lines for nada, the only take down was from a sea lion running into Tim's line while it was swimming in circles around the boat. Once those furbags move into the area you might as well move to another spot. The Raccoons got in the boat Tuesday night at Sandy Beach campgrounds and ate a tray of herring, a loaf of bread, some crackers, some cookies, some grass shrimp and most of the pile worms. I'm glad they didn't have room for the ghost shrimp.

Thats what I was waiting for, don't you think with two fish in the boat at least one of you could manage a smile? Good job guys.

I was smiling until I noticed the camera strap in front of the lens and I kept telling Mongo, but all he would do was say oh yea whatever. ;D ;D

Great pics!
I attended the Sturgeon Seminar last night at FW in Manteca and picked up a couple of pointers from Capt Stan.
The wife and I are headed out this morning to soak some frozen Shad spiked with "go-go" juice.
Hey Mongo, if I get lucky and snag another Dino keeper, be prepared to come over to clean it as we agreed :o ;D

I like the way you think there Blaster. Sturgeon fishing is not for the impatient angler. It takes some serious planning and a die hard attitude when it comes down to it. It gets in your blood, as they say. I've shivered me timbers on several occasions. ;)

Mickey, that's why we call him Mongo. ;D A better fishing partner you couldn't find. Now if Rick would have been there we would have turned this trip into a marathon, we would have lived off my sturgeon for at least a week, god knows we would have starved if we were gonna eat what Mongo brought to the boat. ;D ;D ;D

What are you trying to say rod drrr ger? You dont think mongo can catch a keeper ::) just because its been 18 years since my last keeper, that is no reason to be down on poor mongo :'( ;D ;D that trip was a blast roger 8-) maybe next time we can by more bait so the other coons have enough to eat ;D ;D
