Pastor Steve & I devoted a day to fishing for sturgeon. We left my lucky dog, Spike, home as he had to go to the Vet. One undersized sturgeon (37”, Ghost/Grass Shrimp/Roe combo, beginning of the outgoing tide), one undersized striper. Slow day, very few bites. We launched at Lower Sherman Island. Water 46.4*, dirty, not much debris; air 38-58*, sky clear, wind 0 mph. 7 hours, 8 miles. Fished on anchor on the Sacramento River below Rio Vista, above Jack Thomason’s “memorial” sturgeon spot. Thanks for the company Steve.
