I thought a good way to test out the new Rebel was to get some action shots of "Gus" in the water. I managed to fire off 400 shots in a little under an hour. At three shots a second it wasn't hard. I just downloaded the pictures thinking I was going to have to delete most of them like my old camera due to blur. Well all of the pictures turned out great. So now trying to decide the good from the bad is going to be a tedious process. I'm sure am glad that's my only complaint. I was amazed at how fast this camera is and the great results that it captured. Here are just a few I randomly picked out...I wish I would have bought this camera years ago. It would have saved me a lot of time from the editing room :-/ ;)

Do you even need a fly rod when you've got a dog that can fetch underwater? ;D

The close-up is my favorite of the bunch.

Your buddy's 'energy' comes through in those shots. Very nice.

Did you take those shots in 'auto' mode or did you set the settings yourself? Just wondering. On a couple of shots it looked like maybe as different ISO/shutter speed may have yielded different results.

Thanks for posting up! BTW I likem you siggie pic!

Thanks!! They were all taken in auto mode. Action for the action shots and Portrait for the close up. Today I experimented with manual mode and I blew it. :-/. Had a close up of a cub..I'll explain in the next post.
