I've heard a lot about fishing the powerlines for sturgeon but not sure where.. went out last week and fished close to the east end of the lines.. near the barn with the "Do not Anchor" sign.. 2 cats and nothing else..

Can someone decribe where exactly do people fish for sturgeon? like in the middle of the two shore.. near shore.. away from shore.. anything that may help??

I like to fish the lower section between buoy 12 (the mouth of Sherman Lake) to just above buoy 14 and anywhere from the edge of the main channel to about half way to the East shore. For a starting point try about 80 yards east of buoy 14 and graph your way down stream until you spot some fish. Chances are you won’t have look for long; the fish seem to hold all over that area.

thanks for the info GC..
unfortunately i do not have a fish finder..
are the places you're talking about near the big machine/drill/tanker thingy?
is buoy 14 and 16 near the powerlines?
so basically u fish the side where the shore anglers are?
how far from the tanker? sucks that we can't anchor out anywhere near or between the tanker..
