I sold my bass boat and bought a 21 foot walk around sea swirl striper. I want a more relaxed sport I am thinking sturgon and stripers rather than bass. I have fished the delta, stockton area and once out of Rio Vista, but I have no idea of what to look for as far as depth or structure for sturgon. I live in Merced and dont mind driving a ways to fish. I have read through a lot of the old posts but I know these fish move at different times of the year.
I know asking for a location is like asking to sleep with someones wife but I need all the help I can get. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Thanks fishkiller, is there much action (jet skies, skiers) on the weekends in this area? I am planning to go on Aug. 13-14. Is it worth staying out all night? I would have to find a spot and anchor, not knowing this water way I dont want to be out motoring around in the dark. Thanks again.
