Anybody got a light they like? I'm about to start some R&D for fabricating something that will actually put out some light. All I've seen available are AA battery type that put out no light.

Are you talking lights that run off of your 12 volt system, or just clamp ons with battery attachment?

I'm open. The best one I've seen was a 12v clamp on that had an accessory plug end but the guy couldn't remember where he got it.

I've got Go Lights, on my boat that are remote control. They may be to large for a bimini set up.

How about some good 'ole christmas lights or rope lights? you could probably role them up in the bimini - and they plug into an accessory socket - check out here:

Put them around the bimini and I'd bet they'd put off pretty good light.

Hinrid, the rope lights are what I have seen. They also fit nicely under the edge all the way around the boat for those early mornings or nights. The guy from Rogue jet had them on his boat. Great idea especially to add to live wells, rod storage, etc. When they are hid up underneath you dont ever even see them. They also draw so little power. But for now I use one of those battery powered coleman looking lights.
