We were boat ho's today.

We headed to yesterdays hot numbers 12X10 to 14X11 didn't matter you couldn't miss the fleet today, it seems everybody caught the bug today and had to take time off from work. We went on Brian's sled today aka the supreme master of the lurk. This picture maybe the only one of existence of aka "Ed" actually fishing.

We dropped in around 8 am and found a steady bite.

Fish were down deep 125 plus and most were caught on straight bait (Herring) with the WM apex catching a couple.

And before you knew it. It was time to look for rockies.

So we headed here

We've had better days fishing for rockies but we managed a ling and a few rockies, Sorry forgot to take pics. The water looked like this most of the morning. (clear 50 deg)

All in all a very fine day.

A ho's share

Wind seemed to be picking up as we left around two, and it doesn't look kind for the weekend. Sucks eh?

The reel won is at it again. You Dog,way to go,I knew I should have taken the day off, well hopefully the forecast for the weekend is off like it was a few days ago.
If you are willing I am going to have sneak a ride on your boat one of these days, I know you were on another boat today but but have seen yours before and it is a fishing machine.
See ya on the water.

i got out to the hot numbers late after starting 10 miles south of the hot spot. chased the radio fish at 10:30. my undefeated streak of self netting has come to a horrendous end today. lost both my fish at the boat. trying to net, steer and keep tension on the fish proved too much for me today. tried to rally some friends, but it's a hard call to answer at 6:00 p.m. on a tuesday night. great ocean conditions. bite was hot early and faded as the day went on. went home empty handed, but not without my opportunities. tried cable baits for the first time and really like them a lot. i'm trying to eliminate the fbr rsk plastic from my repertoire. haven't seen that many boats in a fleet in a long time... never mind it was a wednesday. i got swarmed by those thrashing porpoises that look like mini orchas. i think i may have caught it on video. if so, i'll post tomorrow.

I think we seen you at the lighthouse Reel. We were in the Robalo, and didnt do to well with the rock fish either at least you got a ling! Any size to it? I think its first time I been there without limits for everyone. We had to keep moving around to stay out of the canarys. something wrong when all your getting is the indangered fish. kinda makes me think they got no clue. I hear ya about that midweek bug. I usally get to the ramp at 5 and usally the first out. Got there at 5:15 and had 7 or 8 boats ahead of me and had to be 4 or 5 that had already launched. Kinda reminded me of back when i used to use the company truck (i dont work there anymore lol) to pull my boat. Id take off early from work on fri and would be 5 or 6 contractors truck with trailers at dorans.Work Suxs Im going fishing! *Rick

O by the way NICE car! hows it handle with the boat behind it?

Ah I remember seeing the Robalo. Nice boat bro. The ling was just a keeper really. You can barely see it in the picture of the fish in my hatch back. Tonight it will be a fish taco. Thanks for the comps on the car but I think I will stick to the truck for the towing. ;)
Take care Rick see you out there.

Holy shi%&*t, just looked at the real time wind and forecast, guess I had better start working weekends and take week days off. At least you guys got a couple day window to get out there and score some salmon.
