went out to 180' - 200' of water straight of bird rock first thing sunday morning. found bait and birds. did not find the salmon. after an hour i was itchy to go down to abbots to see if anything was still happening. saw no bait at all until noon when we were about to cut bait. then the birds and the bait showed up near kehoe. worked that until long after the wind started blowing and everyone else had given up. nothing.

managed to take a wave and a big gust on my bow while trying to come about back into the bait - turned the boat 90? in a hurry and wrapped the starboard wire around the prop. swamped the boat getting it free. took us about an hour to bail and get running again. ugh.

Looks like you got lucky that time ??? It serves a warning to all of us who think we can do no wrong. Thinking "it won't happen to me" is just how you get in trouble.

This is where those 1000 gph high output dual bilge pumps come in real handy... ::)

and those dual batteries...under the console, mounted up high ;)

We're just glad to have you back...........

It was a low stern that took that 32'er out this weekend...

.........the value of good freeboard!!.......
