View Full Version : Beware...wharf fishing suspended!

I have posted a link to the article which states that the Santa Cruz, Capitola, and Seacliff wharves have fishing shut down for the next three days and possibly more due to pelicans getting tangled in fishing line. That's too bad since the baits are near and that means the predators are not far behind. After the MPLA closures, the salmon season shot, and rockfish resitrictions...now this. This S-U-C-K-S!

BTW...check out the big White Sea Bass caught recently. They're there guys, go get them.

Partial correction. Santa Cruz is open but Capitola is not.

When I was in santa cruz last weekend and the damn pelicans kept hitting our line in the water. They werent going for bait....they just flew and couldnt see the line. :-?

That happened to me at Fort Point with a seagull. I was pulling up a crab pot, and crash!!! Brand new rod and reel off into the drink. Seagull swam off into the wide blue yonder with it.
