Any cohos (silvers) caught in OR surf would have to be released prior to 6/22 when there will be a very short coho fisher for marked fish only. fin clipped steelhead caught in the surf may be retained, llimit is 2.

The catch they were referring to looked to be either salmon and/or steelhead trout. Surprising that these fishes were caught way down south, in Newport Beach, CA this week, along with so manh halibut caught.

Wow, perhaps the salmon has gone way down there? And the albacore are on their way up north?

What's going on here? Are we really into some weird climactic change here?

Was that Newport, Oregon or Newport Beach, California?

Here is the fish in question for identification purposes ;)

Personally I would rather hook into one of these!
