Im going to SC for the weekend and was wondering if I can fish for rockies from shore this time of year? Never fished rockies from shore.

If so what gear will I need I have rods from 6' Ul for trout to A 6' heavy salt rod. I have a 7' medium action spinning setup with 15 lb test.

Bait???

Leaving at noon , any help that will make my learning curve shorter I appreciate.

If I was you I would fish the cliffs just north of the wharf, just before the light house or the rocks just past the light house. You will need fairly heavy equipment because the cliffs are like 15 to 20 feet off the water. I have caught rock fish, cabs, see bass, sea trout and perch from there.
