Does anyone in the bay area ever use Gulp Alive bait? I have seen it in the stores and was wondering if it really is as good as it sounds. Looks good to me and seems as though it would work... Thanks for any info.

I tried the squid. No luck. But then again, I only used them twice and people with me who had real squid also got skunked.
The true test would be to use them when the schools of dogfish are in.

My buddy has done well using the Blood worms for perch.

Anyway, they sure look good

Remember the first job of any lure or artificial bait is to catch... to catch the angler. No promises that it catches fish.

Actually, Sport Fishing magazine did an in depth look at different fish and their attraction to sprays and artificials with the gulp type attractants, check it out in the most recent issue.

The sandworms are killer in the surf for perch.

The squid can be good rigged drop shot.

The minnows are also killer on the drop shot.

All of the Alive products have their application - but just like any other lure need to be fished in the right place, the right way.
