Anyone have any tips on striped perch? I'm heading up to the Fort Ross area for some diving and rock fishing. Trying to find a way to get some of those striped perch we see all the time while diving. Anyone wanna share some tips? Thanks and God bless.

I'd go with a high low rig and use pieces of squid or shrimp around the rocky areas. Fun to catch but not very tasty compared to the other surfperches. You also can catch other rockfishes also. Just know the regs.....good luck

I was thinking about using that rig but some ab gut on the bottom hook, and a small piece of shrimp on the top one. Aiming for a cab and some other rock fish tom. Thanks for the help and God bless.

Hey, that web link was pretty cool. He sure knows how to hammer those fish on the fly rod.

I like to use a MORF grub as a teaser and a Gulp swimbait on the bottom. That way I get to target large and small fish at the same time.
