After two straight skunks for me and bad weather that included wind, sleet and snow needed some sun and some trout. Jetspray and I found both on the Topaz shore. Arrived on the North shore of Topaz at 0730 to find sun, a lake of glass and a Golden Eagle the size of a turkey. Fished for 6 hours and caught 10 between the two of us. The fish were caught on Chartreuse Gulp and inflated worms with Gulp eggs. These fish were beautiful Bows and Bowcutts between 14 an 18 inches. Topaz still rocks. The Gulp/worm smackdown now stands at 14 to 9 with Gulp increasing it's lead by 2. One of our best days of of Topaz shore. Thanks for taking me Dave.

Troll the lake all the time. Most likely will troll it for the first time this year next week. Topaz is an excellent trolling lake 20 fish + days are common. Jetspray has a Stryker Jet with a Chevy inboard with all the toys. :)

Crestliner08 stay in close to shore in the morning, I know it is a risk but if you topline baits you should do good. Use something in pearl or perch like a krock. it should work......Don't forget to pay the fees if you are going in at the Douglas Park ramp (they get costly if you forget to fill the envelope).......Jetspray

any of those eagle lake trout ?
No. Topaz for the most part is a put and take/put and grow fishery maintained by the state of Nevada. The Bows, Bowcutts and Tigers are stocked from the Mason Valley fish hatchery outside of Yearington Nevada.

Mel Cottons in San Jose has them, Sports Authority over here only sells clothing and stuff other than hunting/fishing (first sign of going out of business)......Jetspray

Everytime I go to Walmart in Rohnert Park the fishing section seems to get smaller and smaller. Do they know something I don't?
