My gang (Tammy & Trent) and i pulled in just before 0700. Cloudy but not to cold it never did rain on us but we felt a few sprinkles. Anyways, hiked into the spot by 0740, actually the spot is now about 20ft.under water so we fished near the spot. Tammy caught 2 before 0800 . 1st one was nice 2# we was able to release the 2nd one. (a dink) I picked 1 up about 0900 a nice 3# and that was it for us. Everyone we talked with had fish ,not limits, but a couple here and there. The water is definitely stained and a ton of debris floating* & submerged but there appears to be a fair amount of fish too so the future looks good for this fine lake.*

Thanks for the report Brutus. Been waiting for the water to clear. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Good job Team Brutus. That spot seems like some pretty deep water now that the lake is up. Are you still casting close to shore or are you going way out?

That spot is right at the base of the shear cliff that end the narrows and transition to Swallow Bay, yes?
I used to fish that spot in the summer with crickets and do pretty good catch and releasing smallmouth to your left.

Yes Jeff, it is pretty deep and it is the spot you speak of. If you haven't been out lately it will blow you away at how dif. it feels. I was aiming my casts into the jet steam trying to get as for out as possible. But after watching the wife reel in a couple it was either ask her to cast out for me or follow her lead and cast closer to shore which i did and hooked up . ( nightcrawlers by the way.)

Chef, next time stop and say howdy. I generally have a cold one to spare especially for a brother sniffer
