Anyone fish the lake lately? Reports? Thinking about banking it tomorrow.

a lil late but i went after chrismas, got our limits biggest was 2-3 lbs fish rest were tiny. got them on orange, white and green powerbait, floated worms for two lil baby. we was on a boat, in front of the dock to the right of where they do the stocking. was there for like six hours .

hadow Cliffs (Pleasanton)

Park Hours: are 7:00am to 6:00pm. Boat rentals & the concession are closed for the season. Boats must be off the lake by 5:30p.m. On 12/13, Leslie Pondala of Hayward caught a 5lb., 1oz. trout on white eggs & nightcrawlers fishing by the pitt? & Emanuel of Dublin caught his limit of trout, the largest was 7lbs., 10oz. & the next largest was 6 lbs., 4oz. on Power Bait. On 12/14, Juan of San Jose caught his limit of trout, the biggest was 5lbs., fishing from the 3rd dock trail. On 12/15, Dale Saunders of Pleasanton caught a 7lb., 11oz. trout, trolling with a spoon. On 12/20, anglers were catching their limits.

thanks for the report jeff. And you questioned the pit. It on the east end of the lake right before the pan handle. Right above it is the pit of gravel. Only accessible by boat.

I find it yucky and get skin irritation if the water touches me for any length of time. Doesn't happen at Del Valle, I read it is a parasite in the water.

Please clarify, can you launch a boat at Shadow Cliffs without mussel inspection? Is the water high enough at launch ramp?
