Haven't been fishing because I've had some sort of stomach flu. :( Decided to try this morning because one of my fishing buddies was camping up at Hope Valley. Arrived at Camp Wolfden around 6:45 and headed for Caples with Todd and Wolfcub. Fished off the dam with gold Kastmasters to no effect. After about an hour I started to feel bad again so I headed home. Sorry Todd guess I'm just not ready to come out and play. One good thing. Caples is essentially full. Did meet two other Sniffers launching kayaks and boats at the corner of the dam. Fishdogg and MontanaN8V. Nice to meet you guys. Let us know how you do. Go get them Todd.

It's OK Richard it looked level to me too, it was Wolfden and Jr that were slanted. * :-/

Sorry to hear about the sickness, I think that Mother Nature just didn't want you fishing without us. Ness will be back from Chitown in 3 days and then I won't be a single Dad anymore. I would almost rather be sick. I love my girl but my social schedule was never this busy at 14.

For you and anyone else who reads it Happy Father's Day. Hope to see you all better and ready up the hill next weekend, I will do all I can to be there.

Hope to be there soon...

It was nice to meet you out there. Sorry i couldnt sit around and chat. I had to get those 2 kids on some fish. We trolled to the spillway and concentrated there most of the day. We had 10 or more to the boat all bows and 2 nice browns. MontanaN8v's kids had a blast on my boat. I was glad to put them on some fish! We were gonna fish Silver on Sun. but the wind was a howlin! I only brought my small 1.2 hp motor and didnt want to test my luck with the kids in the boat. We went to Kirkwood for a ZERO and then to Bear and did catch 1 bow. I hiked solo down the dam to try for some native fish and Had a big Zero! But the scenery was awsome! At one point i had to slide down a 45 ft drop off. It was a weekend well spent and had lotts of fun. Montana and Moe have all the pics hope to see em soon!

I loved your Little motor. It's perfect for those lakes. That it could be launched at the dam sure saves a lot of hassle and expense at Caples.

I bought that motor for $100 bucks. Was the best $100 i ever spent! I can troll all day long for under a dollar! And it only weighs 13 pounds. Well i hope your feelin better and im sure ill see you out there again!

Hey Fishdogg ,

It took me awhile to post, but here I am.
Thanks for the pick me up at Caples.
It made the rest of the day Awesome!! *Stumbled on to the Vette show at So. lake . Detroit's finest!!! No rice rockets there.
Only managed one at the 89 bridge , and a brown at caples.
I explained to my fishing partner( girlfriend) what the STARS were on the truck, and told her that I could pick the SNIFFERS out of the crowd. I spoke with a few people on the bank at caples , and immediately after talking to you guys ( friendly gave me tips on the area, and even told me the depth and where the shelf was located)I told her that I found the Sniffers. After meeting you folks *and confirming my suspicions I was Right ON!

I'll catch up with you folks again this summer . *Peace OUT
