Well the best weather day this year so far. Started in the water at 6AM The ramp was nonstop this morning with all the Derby traffic. Only saw a few stars but there were lots of boats scattered thru the lake. We only ended up with 2 fish in the boat. One 3lb nice fat trout one small bleeder that I just could not let go. We lost 1 nice fish at the boat and had a few hits. The setup that worked the best for us were Vance's willow leaf flashers with Vances Sokeye slammers. We did try others but these seemed to be bringing in the fish.
Water started out a 57deg by 12 it was around 60. The lake is clearing up maybe 5ft visability now.
Oh and the winner of the Derby was 2 fish weighing in at 12lbs total. I think the break down was 8lbs and 4lbs. Saw a bunch of 3 to 5lb fish. Collins has been planting the hogs lately. They make you work for them but obviously they are there. *Here are some pics from today
