My question is when toplining rapalas, kastmasters, crocodiles lures like that am i best off using a barrel swivel with a snap on it or am i better off using like the rapala knot, im hoping i can get some suggestions from fellow sniffers im trying to figure out the best way to get around line twist im using pline on all my reels any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated....kevin

Personally I use a rapala knot for a rapala or you can buy a package of rapala swivels.

Kastmasters are good with a blood knot in my opinion

powerbaitfan: Use a 4' - 5' leader with a good barrel swivel on the main line end. Use a dual-lock snap on the lure end. That what i use on my Rapala's. Just the thought of the Rapala knot working back and forth on the eye of the lure, doesn't sound good. Just my thoughts. Also makes for quick change.

I don't usually use swivels but you can use a ball bearing swivel around 12 inches above the lure.

I agree with K83............

When I use a braid main with a quality snapswivel, I add a
bananna wt then a swivel......leader.... then a snap to the lure.

Sometimes you can get away with just a snap with some lures.
However,80% will roll over or spin, calling for some type of anti-twist
devise.

Other than adding a swivel to the line, to diminish line twist, I have been using these and they work great. They come in two sizes, but it makes it easier to switch out the lure and change the combo.....Jetspray
