Arrived at the gate at 645 to have 4 boats in front of me. I had enough time to set the boat up before it was my turn.
On the water at 710 and headed to Hat Island with thoughts of so many hogs being caught I wouldn't be able to raise my arm the next day. Well like the other posts have said it was not that way.
We worked the causway and Hat island pretty hard never making it to the dam. We tried raps, criplures, humdingers, dodger, no dodger faster slower.
What worked for us was grubs. Got a few takedowns with Green and Pink Grubs. About mid day on a white grub behind mini flashers at 8ft OTW. A awsome 5lb 2oz 20" long Camanche Hog. We lost another one about 6ft behind the boat of equal size.
The back side of Hat island was the only hary area but it was fine. Amador is much worse on the weekend.
All in All it was a good day on the water talking to all the sniffers and hearing the radio comedy. It was like the sniffer boards went to VHF Radio.

I recognize the boat! I saw you reel in that fish. You gave it the "Arm Pump" after it was netted and in the boat. I was fishing with Stonesfan, in that Blue Lund. Lots of Sniffers. The way all the Sniffers catch fish, they may start limiting how many can be on the lake at one time.... ;D
