On the water 7ish, I had a couple of co workers on " De Todo" started off slow no fish till about 9ish, Im thinking one of those days? Then Bam up the river arm FISH ON!! it was on fire. Myself and "Cha" 4 fish in about 20 min !!

This is my co worker Cha, at the cleaning station after the end of the day.

In that time we had Mr. Marshall at the helm doing the driving, and says , man in feeling a little jealous there guys, so we put the Marshall to work.

Here's the new Marhall in town, ( Ship It )

All n all *a good day on the water with Friends good food, good conversation(Thank you Allison for the burritos)

Now for the technical side!!

We ran Seps Dodgers followed by a nightcrawler for the most productive of the day toplined 100' back but all planters were attracted to that set up !!

Most of the bigger fish going 2lbs to 2.5lbs were picked up on the orange/gold f9 and f7 Rapala swiped with Pro Cure Krill gell @ 1.6mph

Totaled 14 keepers between us three, lost a few due to Mr Marshalls ( Sparky )gloves he insisted on keeping on.

Tight Lines.

T4L

Ran the F9 toplined as the crawler set up all at the same time at 1.6 mph, so while I was trolling im thinking dodger/worm combo perfect speed... Rapala F9's to slow, but not the case it was fish on with both set ups at the same speed.

Go for it, knock em dead Bro !!!

That was a great day on the water! *Steve and I beat Gills to the punch and got out there a little earlier. *It was on fire for us from sunrise until about 10:00 am an then it slowed down. *Our best setup was a nightcrawler 16” behind a Sep’s sidekick or 4” watermelon dodger. *We adjusted our speed to the fish all day. *In the morning they wanted it slow at 1.0 to 1.2 mph. *Then later when Gills got there 1.6 was a better speed. *We also picked up a few on jointed Rapalas about 10’ down on the downriggers and one on a watermelon Apex. *All other fish were on the topline out 85’ to 120’.

I’ve found the best bet is to constantly zigzag the boat and pump the rods back and forth to draw strikes. *When the bite slows down I keep changing speeds until I find what the fish want. *We ended up with 19 rainbows to the boat and kept the best 10 for eating. *There are lots of nice holdover fish right now with deep orange meat from feeding on the lake’s plankton all year. *I can’t wait to see this year’s crop of kokanee.

After limiting out, I had to make my fourth attempt at the elusive smallmouth bass. *After three previous skunks on the bass front I finally I hit the jackpot and landed my first Pardee Lake smallmouth bass. *It went 16” and hit on a football head jig with a hula grub trailer in about 12’ of water.

Here is the spread. It's a beatiful lake this time of year.

Nice fish! Thanks for the information about Pardee. My buddies and I will probably be heading out there on Monday rain or shine. Is anyone using flashers or is it too early for them? I will be pulling out the dodgers and Rapalas and rain gear!

Been reading posts for quite a long time and finally decided to jump in!
Look for a '08 green North River Seahawk!

I was at Pardee only once last year and they checked my boat and trailer for quaggas or whatever they were looking for. Are they still doing that--is that what "banding" is? Hope they're not charging extra for that...

There is inspections, only on weekends (from what I understand)
The band lets you bypass the inspections, because the EBMUD seal shows that you have not been anywhere else since you got the band put on your boat/trailer.
It does not cost extra.
