Because I have used UV lures and believed them to be effective, I've bought some UV tape and plan on doing some work on some of my old dodgers and DR balls.

if this post gets the traffic it should, there will be quite a bit of opinions. *my personal opionion is they have theri place. *what i have found - i didnt have much luck on any uv stuff - dodger or lures when they first came out in 2007, however i went to bucks lake in 2008 and could not get a bite on my usual goto lures and when i put uv dodgers and spinners on, it was off the hook.

as a result i beleive in them, although i dont know if going uv full time would be helpful or not.

On a tough bite sometimes they do work. Dennis and I were fishing Pardee last year, fishing deep for end of the season Kok's. I had a UV Dodger on, he didn't, I caught 5, he caught 0. Unoffical test but usually Dennis kicks my butt ;)

SuperDave,

I had the same thought about getting some UV tape... Where were you able to find it? I would like to get some... I'm not willing to stop using all of the dodgers I already have...

thanks, :)

My feelings? A cheap way to see if you like it is buy a bottle of Pro-Cure pure, scent free UV.

Okay, I went and bought some more this afternoon so you guys don't take all my stock. ;) I get the UV tape at Sacramento Pro Tackle on Northgate Blvd. $1/foot. I think that's a great deal.
