Hit the lake with the Fishreaper and Fishmaster jr. today from about 730 til noon. Had about 2 hours of action today and that was about it. The bite turned on, and the bite turned off. As soon as the sun hit the water the fish seemed to get active and hit about any color Rapala we threw at them. Once the fleet of boats settled into the south end it slowed down. Didn't see the bait fishermen doing all that well from boat or shore. *Did see a cormorant score on about a 16" trout.I think it was a slow day for everybody. We managed to bring in 8 fish. Had 2 fish around 5lbs. shake the hooks out right at the boat just out of nets reach.A few short strikes and some LDR's mixed in. Released all but three for the nieghbor to enjoy for dinner. One of the fish we kept was a beautiful holdover with dark orange firm meat. Most of the fish we caught were ready to drop eggs. Probably has something to do with the bite slowing down a little.
Reaper, thanks for taking us out today. You couldn't ask for nicer fishing weather.

Sounds like a pretty good day! *Great pictures of FM Jr., *I can see you guys have hit Bass Pro Shop as well. *Did you guys stay in the south end most of the day, or did you work some others spots towards the dam as well?

Klamdog, we made a trip to Heron for one hit. Fished the south end around the boats anchored up bait fishing the rest of the time.

Right on thanks for sharing. Wonder if the spawn/ eggs are contribtuing factors to the slow bite. Has the water come up very much?
