camanche 12/20 ice fest (pics)

this saturday by far has got to be the coldest day at camanche *ever.
our first clue was the ice on our rods BEFORE we launched.

we had the best seat in the house with hot coffee and a beautiful sunrise

after a few hours of trolling...this is what moved in....real quick....there is a boat in front of us

anyway....we got skunked.......met hookedforlife at the boat ramp, he was having problems getting out. there is a small sand bar at the water line now at the north ramp......bring a tow strap and a shovel as added insurance. (i told "hooked", that if he put his kicker motor in my boat, it would pull out of the water easier.....he wasn't buying it) *;)


*footnote for fishnmike*..........that girl that wants to meet you....my advice,....go buy a tri-hull !! * ;D ;D

The last time I fished at Camanche was Friday 12/12/08. I've got a 15 1/2 foot Klamath and an aging blue/gray van. I'll be back in January, 2009, along with Berreyesa, Oroville, Stampede mostly; sometimes New Melones. Hope to see you at any of those places!
Now I know to look for the five stars!
