i dont know. *someone in our group mentioned the story and i immediately thought of pet rocks......maybe i'll come up w/ something someday. *his boat dock is at least 15 feet high and dry though.

thanks slapabow, too bad yer buddy doesnt have nextel, my cell was deader than a door nail up there.

funny, i didnt even see that in the pic. *the fella on the left uses "tweety" *he caught a 5 pounder last year and had the pic w/ himself, the fish and the rod submitted to the print edition fishsniffer but it didnt make the cut for some reason *::) *this year he caught another beauty around 4.5 lbs w/ tweety, the pic is hanging in the RV marina general store in spalding.

there are shallow mixed mud and rock mounds on either side of the approach/departure to/from the spalding ramp. *you need to stay in the middle and putt out a ways to clear the super shallow stuff. *the direct center line to ramp is about 1.5 feet of water. *be careful. *on the last day pulling out the boat, wind took me off course only a few feet and i got mud in the intake and had to backflush it. *on the same day during higher winds, another guy in our group approaching the ramp bent his prop and broke the skag. *the rock and mud mix is bad on both sides of the approach to ramp but its still doable.

Dave, I almost missed your post. Awesome pictures, and glad you had a great trip. Time to spend less time looking at rocks, and more time fishing. If you're interested, maybe I'll take you out on Pyramid.

i'm drooling to fish pyramid.....tops on the bucket list. i cant believe i havent been there yet.

steveo, pardee held its own yesterday, see the farewell to pardee post. not the ELT beauties, but not bad for the backyard.

a friend in our group sent some pics off his camera, he managed more fish pics than i did this trip. *thought i'd share a few. *

i caught (the most beautiful fish of the entire week if i do say so myself :) ) an awesome ~4.5 lb red phase buck, my bro caught some nice ones too.........enjoy......
