Arrived at Walker with Mrs. C. at 11:00 for a little shopping at the Three Flags Trading Post and Lunch under the arbor at the Walker Burger Stand. Arrived at The W. Walker in mid canyon at 12:30. First cast behind a likely looking bolder gets me a small Brown. 15 minutes later another small brown beauty with impressive red spots. Browns? Where are the Alpers Bows? I was planning some grilled Alpers for the weekend. Soon after I thought this help arrived. From for another hour and caught 2 more small Browns and two Alpers Bows. All fish were caught on a 1/4 oz Black PM with a gold blade. While fishing I met a fellow Sniffer on the water. Duke363 was in the Eastern Sierra with friends and family. He was staying at Mammoth but was ranging to the north. As we left he was going to give the Alpers and small Browns a try. Nice meeting you Duke. Let us know about your trip. when we arrived home I noticed that Mrs C. was wearing a nifty Alpers pin. How come I caught the trout and she got the pin? A wonderful day.

Brown #3 is going to grow up nice and big. He's got a big tail like a puppy with big paws. Good job out there CC.

Looks like the brown's are on the hunt down south too. Glad to see you got some of your favorite species as well. I agree with what FISHWISH said, "that is a puppy with big paws." That dude, if he makes it, could be a 10 ponder someday. Oh, GOLDENTROUT is going to be on the Sockeye Mobile for Pyramid too. Either we hunt down a 10 pounder, or like Justin said, 40 this time. I'm getting excited, Wednesday, Hooks, and myself are going to sample it.
