About 6 1/2 lbs. Gonna break it this year though.. Anybody got any news on the scoop at Amador? Are they putting in the same type of strain this year? When might they start planting?

My biggest to date was 13.4 lbs and Bruce told me that they are reverting back to the old strain that they used to use, woo hoo *:D
I too am missing that lake, I am pretty sure that they are planting already, but it usually takes 12 weeks before its up to par.

My Dad has put the biggest fish in my boat at amador 9 lbs. My best 7 lbs. He is 83 and still kicks my Butt when it comes to the big fish. But I love to see him smile when he talks bout that fish.

I myself caught a 12.5Lb./8.0Lb./8.0Lb./7.0Lb/and a 3.0Lb. all in the same day (2006) I have pictures of the 12.5Lb. but to me it just didn't look that big, so I didn't post it. My scale showed 12.5Lb. and my Farther In Law scale also showed 12.5Lb. The funny thing is that we were both fish the same exact lures and the same depth on the downriggers from the same boat and he got skunked!! Go Figure???Went 3 times to Amador this year and got skunked all 3 times when it was cold and the trout where in season. This coming season hope it's agood one for all!! :)

i don't think they are planting quite yet. If anyone has the word on if they are, or when they are going to start, that would be awesome!

About a month ago, i called up there to get the scoop, and the lady at that answered said, mid october, towards the end, depending on the temperature, and they'll do a small stocking first to see how it goes.

Biggest fish for me was only about 3 pounds :( i gotta do better this year.
