anyone tried dr's at lafayette? any pointers as for flasher, dodgers, or lures? looking for something close by, like maybe after work or a sat or sun. any pointers would be great. i really havnt seriously fished this lake.

I've never done it, it's an electric-only lake. Kind of pointless in the South end, as the water is none too deep. Plus, there's a lot of weeds... If you do it, let us know how it goes.

I haven't gone back since mid June but I fish Lafayette often. I usually don't use downriggers but when you don't get bites at southend toplining than I use downrigger. I usually fish in 20-25 of water in southend. I start at 15 otw and go down close to bottom. Also I use j-7 Rapala, krocs and kastmaster on downrigger and do well.

I would not go past white mooring bouys at southend if you are using downrigger because there are a lot of weeds.
Just sharing my experience. ;)
