The weather system that is cruising through has knocked the snot out of the fishing......
Caught 3 dinks. Fish were biting very soft,& not holding on at all. Had maybe 10 releases from the downrigger but no stick.

Wind came up early & blew everyone off the water by 10 or so.

New day tomorrow 8-)

Bob, thanks for the Eagle reports. If you knocked 'em dead every day, it might get boring ::).

any word on the bank fishing by the marina on the south end of lake ?

You are lucky! Two years ago we encountered 3-4 foot waves. It was crazy and scary at the same time. Been fishing that lake for 20 years and never seen any wind and waves close to that. The Gods were angry that day.

Not sure about the bank fishing but, I did see people out there and they were packing a few fish off occasionally. We were out in a 21' boat most of the days and a 14' Klam on some others. Pretty much limited all week from the 13th to today. Had good luck trolling orange flies and good luck with a worm behind a watermelon flasher about 2' or so. Largest fish of the group was 4 3/4 with at least a 3 1/2er everyday. Most of our fishing was around the marina however, we did fish 2 days at the youth camp with luck too. They are hitting down riggers soft, sometimes you would only see the pole tip and not release so you had to fast. Most of the time we just held the poles to make sure. Had a few break the 4 lb test leader so we went up to 6 lb and didn't loose anymore to breakage. Depths varied everyday, 6-11 feet early in the week and 20-30 feet the last few days. Good luck to all, it was sad to drive away from the lake today.....I will be back next year for sure.
