Here's a couple photos I have from fishing Eagle Lake last weekend. *Hope they post. *

Just returned from Eagle Lake fishing the past couple days. *It was a great trip. *W caught many fish both days, with our limits ranging from 19" to 24", some in the 4 lb range. *The boat ramp at the Marina was a concern with very shallow water. *We made it in and out ok, but there were rock hazards on each side with water at the launch only about 2 feet deep. *Some larger boats were seen running into rocks or aground. *But once you made it out, it was great! *The surface water temp was about 66 degrees, with air temps in the low 40s in the early hours warming to the 80s. *We caught fish from 10-35 feet deep fishing between Eagle's Nest and Ronald McDonald Camp. *There was large schools of bait fish in that area, which I think has drawn in large numbers of trout. *

We planed on worm fishing but didn't have to as it was an outstanding bite. *Our fish were caught on Kokanee/Trout Killers with E-Chips and Koke a Nuts from Shasta Tackle. *We didn't have to use flashers. *There were a lot of boats early but would thin out by 10 am. *We caught most of our fish before then, usually limiting by 9 am. *What a great trip! *It was my wife's first time and you can tell by her face with the 24" trout she caught. * *
