Could i put my 14' aluminum with honda 4stroke 15hp in donner, safely? or are the winds etc too much?

You can fish Donner in a 14' safely. The daily winds usually start to pick up around 11:00 AM but the normal daily winds aren't a problem. The winds are worse on the east end, if they get too bad for you move down to the west end. Enjoy.

just make sure you're off of the lake before the infestation of lake lice.

Where can you launch?

The NW end of the lake has a public launch. I had my 10' with 5hp fishing the east end twice when the west wind came barreling down the west end slope...a struggle to get back to the ramp but doable.

The lake has started to drop and when that happens the base of the ramp has a curb. Make sure if it is that low, you launch on the side that doesn't have metal sticking up.

All you have to have is enough clearance and creep over the hump. The company I work for manages Donner Lake Village and my crews have started to pull the docks in.
