first it depends on if i am in a boat or walking a stream......... in a boat it would depend on what i am fishing for, kokanees....macks, browns,,,,rainbows.... ok, i see i opened a can of worms........hmmm maybe worms would work.... ok,, in a boat, i need dodgers and needlefish..... on a stream.. worms in early season... gold kastmaster........ok wait........ my favorite bait and lure.. sorry i got carried away............in my boat, it is a red wedding ring spinner........ bait would be worms.. on a stream the lure would be a gold kastmaster... the bait would be a worm threaded onto a # 8 hook.
Bait: Fat, four-inch-plus Lahontan redside Tahoe shiner. Of course, this would be illegal on any other lake. Still my favorite, for what it does for me on my home water.
Lure: AC Skinny rainbow trout pattern plug, anywhere there are trophy trout.

Rainbow needlefish have been my previous favorite ultralight casting lure forever! I love that you can SUPER slow retrieve and jig it without gaining much depth for enticing picky fish into striking.
New favorite UL spin lure is a F03 Rapala though. Need to do a back to back with the Needlefish. I suspect different waters and conditions (lakes, not moving) may tip the balance one way or the other.
Bait? Who uses bait! :) (Okay, inflated crawlers gets my vote).

Trolling definitely J-Raps. In streams CD-Raps and for bait; Roe and Sucker meat in places where it’s legal.

Don't fish with bait much anymore- I've found that finding fish is tougher than catching them... Every now and then I use bait, especially if I'm trying to put a newbie on some fish.
Hammered gold Cop-E-Cat- anywhere from 1/4 oz to 2 oz is "preferred", but you gotta' have a few options or you won't catch fish.
