Fished Stampede this morning hands solo (for Kokes, report on the Koke board) and picked up this nice 3lb 12oz, 21.5 inch Rainbow on an Orange Wild Eye dodger trailing a orange/white Tomic Wee Tad
South of the “island” 59’ OTW in 80’ of water

It was a major goal this year to bag a nice bow. This beautiful lady almost doubles what I have caught in the past. Her stomach was empty. I still have a lingering SEG. I also managed 4 Kokes in an hour and 15 minutes. Good day for Z boy.

from a new member, that's downright inspiring!
kudos! great job!

btw, was your rig something you made up today or have you used it successfully in the past? if it's a working combo, i should keep track of these gems and use them myself.

Good job Z, well done ;)

Thats Stampede fishing, break the normal rules and you'll catch fish!

Tight lines GT.

I dont care if you caught fish or not. That first pic tells it all you had a great day and I wish I was there to enjoy that sun rise. [smiley=worthy.gif]

That is a real beauty Zhands and the sunrise sure brings back memories of camping and fishing at Stampede. Just have to make a point of getting back up there in the future. Thanks for the reports and pictures.

Welcome to the boards Renzo. If you read this thread, it will explain. Some Sniffers have gobs and gobs of Wee Tads. I currently have two with more on order.

As far as inspiring.......well I was so numb, I had/have to look at the fish and pics to believe it happened. Good thing they invented cameras. I'll gather inspiration from this experience for a long while.

Good Luck to you. It was only a year ago I would go out in my boat with no clue. Thanks to the great Fish Sniffers on board here, now I don't feel so [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Every time I have a question, it'll get answered by searching or asking. There is nowhere else to find such a thing.

Thanks Sniffers for your kind support

that pic *of fish in net looks like you snagged it.

I guess you’ve never seen this type of lure. The lure body slides away from the hooks, this prevents the fish using the lure body as leverage to release itself. The hooks are on the other side of the fish, fish sometimes roll in the net. The bow was hooked in the side of the mouth.

Most all Kokanee lures have the body of the lure slide away from the hooks.

Very well done ZHANDS, and nice to meet you on the water. The mackinaw, brown, and bass score on my boat was 0. Tough day on the water, but I specifically didn't bring my koke gear to try and catch some big boys, shows what I know.
