Take two.

Went out this morning with a more experienced crew. Trolled from the south end, through the narrows for nothing. Top water with castmasters.

Switched to the downriggers set at between 15 and 30 feet down.. Nothing. Had a single line top water with a J-7 rapala that was orange on the bottom and the top looked like a German Brown.

Caught a small fish at the north end of Swallow bay. Tossed the line back in and immediately caught an 8 pound monster. (personally the largest trout EVER.) The fish bent the circle clip things that attach the hook to the lure. (on both hooks!)

Another small fish in Heron bay and the go home in the narrows on the way back in (5.5lbs)

Looks like you had a good day on the lake. *That 8 pound monster looks to only be about 4 pounds by the picture. *How was the fight with the 8lb fish. *Did he give you a good fight or did it just swim on in. *Keep on catching them.

Great pic, looks like the biggest one could eat the littlest one,[smiley=rotfl2.gif]. Del Valle sure has some big'ol trout out there. Good job getting your personal best [smiley=thumbsup.gif]! Is it my eye's or is the smallest fish yellow? Is it a thunder trout? Or do I need to see the eye doctor [smiley=hypnodisk.gif] [smiley=hypnodisk.gif]? Thanks for the report, and good luck out there.
