nice fish!

has the water cleared up at all?

do you know how the bait dunkers were doing? I will be dunking from shore this weekend while my motor is being serviced.

tons of shore fishers all the way up past the out house/picnic tables.. water is very high.. saw the kayaks south end. don't really know how they did..
Pollen flakes all over(looks like when I feed my aquarium fish
Did count +15 trailers but spread out evenly..

Ever thought about renting a boat with a buddy, comes out 5 bucks an hour.. best deal...

Great job getting on the fish. It can be hard in a rental boat not knowing your speed or depth etc.

I will be there in the morning, could be by myself if my brother doesn't call me pretty soon. I hate only having two rods in the water.

See you on the water

I thougt about renting a boat but no rod holders, depth finder, etc.. I guess I am spoiled. I have not done much if any baitfishing this year, a day sitting on the shore relaxing sounds good. i will have my boat back next week and will be back to trolling.

the weather next week is supposed to reach the mid 70's.

Those are some nice lookin fish! You said you rented a boat there, right? How was that overall? 14 footer? I'm definitely considering this as I've got 2 leadcore trolling rigs and mountable pole holders that I can throw onto the side of the boat. It's blind trolling at its finest and I've had decent luck in the past until I get my own boat ;D

I highly recommend it, we have our sunglasses on but not blind.. hard work & right lures & knowing all the spots, letting out #pulls..it ain't that blind.. Blind is watching the cork go up from the shore.. 8-)

God I remember those days hiking to the narrows but really not that bad for $54 for 5 hours between two guys is just a deal... about 5 bucks an hr.. ;D

Glad to see another boat renter is out there knocking'em dead. I agree about the cost of renting a boat. It isn't that expensive, and if you measure it up against the fun and mental health benifits. It sure is cheaper than seeing a shrink, or going to Disney Land. Keep the good reports coming, and good luck out there.
