Well, gonna give it a go tomorrow, rain or shine.Maybe I'll get lucky.I think the weather might be decent in the a.m.If anybody is up there on the north shore look for the guy in the green cap and camo jacket.

Did you get your fish before the bad weather? It seems that when the weather turned on saturday the fish turned off. When I was at the marina weighing my fish all the guys coming in on boats were fishless.

Kokenut,
You guys have caught cohos at Vaqueros? I thought they had Kings at that lake. I've never seen any cohos there, that pretty awesome that you got into them.

Well now were all mixed up or we all got different imfo.I was told by the people that work here that those were kokanee.History tells me that kokanee die after spawning as do all salmon. The question is ,are these kokanee, coho or kings?I I was also told a long time ago that kings have black gums and silver or coho have white.Maybe kokanee do to as they are the little brother to the coho.I know one thing for sure and that they're some kinda salmon.I also in my opinion think that these "salmon" don't taste as good as the trout in this lake.I hope that the cat will taste good.

A koke=landlocked sockeye. I'm not sure how that gets mixed in with the kings because from what I understand, king=chinook...not sockeye. I'm sure I'll get corrected :). Whatever the case, you gotta love LV for it's variety of species.

Both kings and kokes were planted in vaqueros when it opened... I don't know whether they've planted more of either since then.
