Headed up to Frenchman Lake this morning for a little ice fishin. Caught 1 fish about 10 minutes after I put a line down the hole. Had 2 other decent bites but neither of those made it thru the ice. The weather was nice, about 30 degrees with a slight wind and some snow fall. The trout was really a great lookin trout, unfortunately it has been solong since I caught a fish I've forgotten how to hold the fish for a pic.

Ice fishing all ready ?? !!

Way to go, looks like you had a fun day.........

Were you north or south of the narrows and how thick was the ice?

Never ice fished in my life, might have to try it.

Yeah, where did you catch that one(part of the lake). Used to fish there in the Summers a few years back. One time where I used to work a young man came in . I asked where he was from? He said that I probably wouldnt know of the place cause it was pretty small and far away. I told him to give me a try. He mentioned Chicoot. I answered East or West of the general store and Frosty and the road to Frenchman? He was surprised. How thick did you say the ice was? Thanks IM

Pretty Cool Brenden, looks like your recent move is really paying off. More power to Ya. Keep the pictures a coming and check back to the good old days when Mickey used to catch fish and you will see a master Poser. ;D ;D ;D

I took the pictures :). I wasn't mentioned because the ice gave me the skunk! The whole family went. He says the weather was nice, haha. Saturday I went to Boca, got a sunburn it was so warm. There the ice was I'm guessing close to 18 inches. Maybe 6-8 inches at Frenchman.

We were fishing right near the dam, I did see some folks head off in snowmobiles with fishing gear for other parts of the lake.

I'd say the ice was about 6 inches, maybe 8. Boca has thicker ice.

We did have a good time and plan to do it a few more times. :)
