Took a run up to Beardsley this morning with Guy. Our last trip was on the 7th of October; we were curious to see how far the water had dropped since then. Quite a bit, as it turns out. Still, Guy was able to launch "The Tug", and we headed for the dam.
Put out Rapala's, in shad and rainbow, and ran one pole with leadcore running flashers, wedding ring and a crawler. Nada on the Rapala's, but picked up fish on the flashers. We switched out our other poles, I ran a sidekick, guy used a dodger, and we caught fish steadily the rest of the afternoon.
Fish on.
"How did that one get off?'
Guy comtemplates another great day at Beardsley.

I caught some browns a few weeks ago when I went there in early Nov., most of them were small, 10-13 inches, and the one larger one went 16 inches throwing a brown trout floating rapala in the river channel. Out of 25 caught I would say that 10 were browns. It's nice that none of the browns had those sores although the rainbows did have more girth to 'em. Caught all fish on shad needlefish and crawler/wedding ring set-up.

I caught a few Browns there this summer ,I was using an UL spinner with a crawler fishing for rainbows by the dam when I caught most of the Browns. They were all small in the 12-14" range .
