Arrived Red at 6:40. Had my first brookie by 7 A.M. A black Pickup arrives and this tall young blond guy steps out. Blond? Hunkfisher ain't a blond. But it was. Guess he just wants to have more fun. ;D There's a story behind it but I will leave it to him to tell it. We fished in the wind till around 10 with two brookies for the Captain on Kastmasters and two for the Hunk on floating bait. On to ICR. By 10:30 the wind is howling and the lake a sea of whitecaps. Instead of fishing by the dam we decide to fish near the boat ramp hoping to find a little shelter from the wind. We park by the locked to the CG and prepare for the 3/4 mile walk to the lake. A BLM pickup arrives and we tell him that we are going to the boat ramp area. He says hop in and he takes us. Saves these old legs a little wear and tear. We fished Kastmasters and bait off the bank to the left of the boat ramp with no success save a couple taps. The wind was the story. Still all in all a nice day.

Well Capt. it looks like a repeat of our day with the howling wind. Wish I could have joined the two of you, I would rather get skunked up hwy 88 than spend a day trapped in my office reading plans and sending out $$$.
Don't see another day with a pole in my hand until the 1st of December. :'(
Hunk nice to see you got into a couple of fish. It took my three tries to get the skunk off on Saturday.
Next trip I think will be the afterbay on the 1st or 2nd. The reports and the fish are saying come catch me.... ;D

Well Capt. it looks like a repeat of our day with the howling wind.

Actually the fish were hitting at Red better than our catch rate would indicate. Lots of strikes but they were hitting short. I lost 3 or 4 while bringing them in one may have been a Cutt but I'll never really know. The wind was bellying out the line so it was difficult to set the hook. At ICR the wind was blowing a stedy 20 MPH with gusts over 40. We were fishing near the launch ramp where there was some shelter but even then the wind blew me over twice. Next time I'll take my walker. [smiley=old.gif]

Beats what I was doing yesterday. I was thinking about it, looking out my office window wondering how the fishing was up at Red and ICR. Good job in tough conditions!

Captain nice pics from our trip as the capt said the fishing at red was actually better than our result, missed about 7 solid strikes on the trusty kastmaster the fish were a little lethargic due to the wind and cold!!!! water, had a great time as usual captain those brookie made great company at the dinner table, glad i got out of there when i did cause there was some snow flurries in hope valley on my way out i was freaking out cause i had no chains :o
Oh and about the hair, this year we had a 52, thats right 52 year old kicker play on our team this year he made it through the running and wind sprints like all of us, heck he was even there in the spring, but anyways his hair is salt and pepperish and out head coach always gave him crap about it so me and 3 other guys on the team bleached our domes to look like our head coach as well as the kicker Tim "Old School" Davidson. He was one heck of a guy he is writing a book about his experiances i think we all should take a look into it heck i am ill be in it! Never Too Late is the title
Well CC getting my things ready for Amador ill post how i do!
