This fish was caught by Dan Stewart of Bishop at 11/9 at Lower twin on a 5.5 Inch Baby Bow Trophy Stick. *He asked me to post this for him because of troubles with the cpu. *He said this fish was a reward of years of fishing with his father and grandfather and it was quite a story but he told me to post it for him. *He said when he had her in the boat he felt his father's presence who passed away some years back and was a very special moment. He is very greatful for this fish and I am very happy he caught it on the Trophy Sticks. He said he is so gut hooked right now it is unbelievable. I am very happy for him. *What an accomplishment! *Congratulations Dan!!!!!

Nice fish. A buddy of mine just caught the state record certified, 26.5 lbs. Bioligists estimate the fishes age at 11 years old! Browns are a lot easier to target this time of year as they move up to spawn. Somedays you can catch quite a few if you know where they move to and the weather is right! Thanks for sharing your friends fish!

You have got to be kidding me. *What a hog! When was that fish caught? Is that the first time that picture has been posted on here? That deserves it's own post if it is????

He was pretty shocked when the fish certified as the Idaho State Record.
We see a lot of large Browns this time of year. 37" long.

Those are a couple of carniverous browns!
I hope they are going on your wall. I have a couple of nice mounts in my office at work and it sure helps sometimes to look at them and relive the experience. Congrats!

Two beautiful and exciting Browns, love to see pic's of big browns and am glad we can see them on these boards again. MM, the DFG bioligist estimed Bertha at 12 years. Sure would like to know the girth of that hog, Bertha wasn't skinny either. Great catches guys :D

My dad was my best fishing buddy but when I don't catch anything I don't remember missing him however when I have a successful day it's almost like he is still with me. We had our opportunity to catch our trophy trout on the same day. I still regret not mounting them but it was a day I will take with me when I go. Congratulations on a really nice fish.

A couple of very nice fish!
The difference in color is interesting, they must be two different strains.

It seems to me the difference in color may be a male and a female. If I'm correct the males are the ones that get the beautiful coloring while the females stay silver but with the same spots on their side and gills. Makes a person jealous to look at those pics, and I gotta work today... :(

Males and females go through their spawning colors, These are obviously 2 different strains. The brown in Idaho probaly already went through it's spawning colors. Both fish are female.

Too bad it wasn't mine, wish it was though, looks like it's time to get on out there and put in some work. I am just waiting for my boat to get back so I can go nail a hog myself soon enough.
