Well I couldn't resist I had a few hours to kill, so I went to the afterbay and banked it. Fished old school style, like my new hero Captin Compassion (hereafter promoted to Lt. Commander) with crawlers under a bobber, after an hour and a half without a bite I thought carp, I've got pro-cure trophy trout gel in the truck! http://www.fishsniffer.com/forumsyabb2006/Templates/Forum/default/undecided.gif So I run up & grab it and slather on the crawler, next cast, fish on. Not a monster, but man did this steelie, put up a heck of a fight, got airborne 3 times(clear out of the water by 2'), and pulled drag out better than any stocked bow I've ever caught!

Sorry, I don't remember who asked about the ramp in Paradise's post, but here is a pic! I saw a 20'+ jetboat get on the trailer w/no problem.

Love them Bows. Get good healthy ones then no trout fights better. Oroville is a bit out of range for a day trip but I do know the area and for sure the Motels aren't all that expensive. Will there still be good fishing there in December?

Thats a demotion according to Navy standards Chico!!!!! You know, Ensign, Lt junior grade, Lt, Lt Commander, Commander, Captain, Admiral. ;)

If I were you Captain Compassion I would be just a little offended. ;) ;D

End Hijacking

By the way looking fish.

CC, yes they should be still good if not better in December! However, these are not Bows, but landlocked steelhead, and after the fight this guy put up today there is a difference!
Jigster, there is plenty of bank fishing area's I was fishing near the Wilbur Rd ramp off Hwy 162, PM me and I can give you directions if you want!

Thats ok me too. Well atleast currently. There is still hope for E-6 and maybe E-7 before Im eligable to retire in the next 5 years.

I just like to bust Chico's chops. But he knows there is malice in my jesting. *Nothing but love for my former shipmates, and or current service members;)

Yes, it's 10 miles west of Oroville off Hwy 162. Going north on Hwy 99 it's between Gridley & Chico.
