Just wondering if anyone has been up their lately?? The picture from the Sierra Summit web cam shows lots of beach making me think that the water has dropped below the launch ramp.

Might try this weekend solo since my normal partners in crime have other plans, unless anyone wants to tag along. This time of the year can be pretty good and its nice to see the kokes running up rancheria.

I haven't been on it in a while. This is the last weekend of deer season up there so I might be in the area but not on the water. I might have to run up to Tamarack this week. If I do I will check the launch for you. Good luck if you go.

I have launched many times off the beach and you do need 4wd/awd to get out but sometimes you will dig down into the sand and have to put rocks under your tires. A light boat will make the whole thing easier but if you know what you are doing, you can get a 16-18' boat launched.

FFF,
good luck around rio vista. I have tried 3 times out in the sac and moke and have yet to catch or see a fish. I might try one more time here later in november but this year is worse than last year and last year was terrible. Good luck trying :)

Yes you can launch with a 4WD vehicle or by hand bbwith cartop boat.

The Rancheria garage and the bait shop are closed so no services are available.

I will post the Fresno Bee fishing report tomorrow to this same thread.

Just got back from the launch. I don't think it would be much trouble launching with a 4 wheel drive. It looked pretty smooth and compacted.

There seemed to be a good number of Kokes spawning up Rancheria.

Shaver Lake/Huntington Lake

**Kokanee **Trout *Smallmouth **Catfish

Overall slow fishing with an average of two to three fish per rod, Captain Jack Yandell reported. James Ramirez, Eddie Ortuzar and Charles Avilar from Lemoore had a great day with three limits of rainbows and kokanee from the Point to Black Rock on blade/'crawler combinations on lead core at three to four colors over the weekend. Shaver is holding at 66% capacity. Huntington is limited to shore anglers, car top boats or launching with a 4WD as the ramp is out of the water. The lake is at 63% capacity.
