I have never been there, but have heard good things. I am thinking of meeting my Dad there Labor Day weekend. A good spot between K Falls & Reno.

Is the lake fishable with float tubes?

Any recomendations on style/areas?

and

Any recommendations on campgrounds.(trailer camping)
Thanks in advance

There was a big fire up that way about a month ago. Anyone know how close it got to the lake or has anyone been up since the fire? Just thought I would throw that out there.

This time of year the water gets around 76 degrees.

Not a good thing for shore fishermen since all the fish in the
lake go deep, to find cooler watter.

This time of year try for the channel catfish at the dam......... ;)

My son lives not too far from Antelope Lake and he showed me a map of the area that burned. Looks like it went all around the entire lake and I read this on the Internet:

"Much of the Antelope Lake Recreation Area, campgrounds, boat ramp, and picnic area are open as of July 28, although the fire area south of the lake will remain closed. Flare ups, therefore smoke, will be seen until winter. However, please call in if concerned!"

Here is a URL for current conditions in that area:
