Left the Compassion compound at 4:15 headed up Highway 88. Arrived at Blue lakes 4:55. First stop Upper Blue. Fished at the first big turnoff on east side above the dam. Fished the rocky area up to the point. Used Gold Kastmaster several good strikes and C&R one pretty little Bow. Next stop Lower Blue. Fished the dam area and west shore. Several hits but no fish. Left for home at 7:15. The lakes were lower then when I was last there but still plenty of water. The weather was clear and maybe 75 degrees. It was a little windy. There were boats, kayaks, tubers and rafters. The camp grounds were nearly full. I could smell the steaks grilling. A nice evening.

Hey Capt. I think you need to increase your shutter speed when driving and pic taking ?

Sounds complicated. At this point in time I set the camera to the auto setting then shoot and pray. The camera I have is a Sony DSC W100 8.1 MP. It has a staggering array of possible settings. Those pictures were spur of the moment while I was driving. I didn't have the ability to mess with it while driving down the road at 65 MPH. I have only had it for a week and it is indeed different than my other Sony. Thanks for the tip.

Wait a minute Capt. slow down and smell the beavers/dam I think the speed limit going there is 45(but that never stps me from exceeding the posted going to the Trout lakes limit). [smiley=captjack.gif]

We re talking Nevada here. 8-) When I moved to Nevada in the early 70s there was no speed limit. By 1975 the speed limit was 55 MPH. Guess how many Nevadans observed it?

You are welcome sir. This is kind of neat for me. I can keep a log of where I fished, when I fished and how I did. I can attach the story link to an email and send it to friends and family back in LA. I've met a lot of fisher folks and learned of lots of places and techniques I would have never found on my own. Best of all it motivates me to fish more often.

No morning bite Capt :'( Oh well, at least you got one. I am going to take my nephews there on Saturday if you would like to join. I can use a good guide. I have never been there :)
