man brings back good memories of my last 2 trips there! fish swimming around the ladder everywhere but dang hard to get to bite! nothing more exciting than seeing a monster hit your fly though!!!

Sounds real boring Ed. Was planning on a little fishing Saturday but given your experience I will just get some work done ;). Thanks for the report.

Ed, sorry to hear about the breakoffs. Were you using your UL gear or the fly rod? BTW,Great pic. Saw a lot of that while I was fishing from the tuffa. Only the ones I saw would follow but not hit.

Captain;
The "Blood" was not the "hatch" of the day tuesday.......... :'(
"45" had the two top flys last trip out.......... ;)

45 Auto;
In order to get my number of strikes I had to drop down to 6 pound test !!

I was talking a lot to the "Man upstairs" yesterday, to try and get the fish to shore for pictures. ;D ;D

Sorry for the "cutoff" picture........

Still learning what I can shoot and post to get 100%........ :'(

A moving target and a one handed camera, does not help either.

Ed, when I was there for the fest I was running 6lb mono with the flies on 4lb leader. Had a ball with the slot fish, and can only imagine what a 24+ would be like.

45;

Both my big fish went straight for deep water !!

40 to 50 yards of line stripped out in a matter of seconds.

All you can do is watch your rod tip bounces up and down as the
fish does its thing............. :'(

Hoping to get that much line back on the reel, tire the fish and get it
to shore is a very big order , with a # 14 fly!!

Still a kick in the pants, no matter what the outcome........... ;)

Still looking for that 35" fish named "BUBBA".. :D

On the BIG ONE'S, I would have a kayak ready to give chase :D I can pull myself back to snags on 6# mono in 3 foot swells and not break off ;) Ed I'm not telling you to be a kayak fisherman. Great fish by the way and good luck tomorrow, Eric :)

Red P............ ( ;D )
Sorry had to do it................ ::)

I'm to old heavy & fat for a Kayak................ :'(

I looked at them for duck hunting, but I would have to leave the
shells and decoys home so it would not sink !! ;D ;D

When are you goint to get that 20lb Mc ??

You are about due aren't you ?? ;) :D

I just get mad at all these 31 inch fish that don't weight enough !! >:(

I guess you need a 34" this year to pop the 15 lb mark............ :-[ :-[

Later Ed

I had to do it too ;D ;D ;D I'm not going to force the 20#'er but that's what makes it fun, you never know when they'll hit. ;) We just got a second vehicle so there definately will be more "B-4 work" stories for sure. Stick with the one good fly instead of two, less snags and saves those expensive pre tapered leaders. If you can't decide where to go tomorrow stick to what you know. Good luck, Eric :)
