The browns are back in a big way at the Reservoir. *The majority of the fish caught today were German Browns, not just by us, but by everybody we talked to. *Thanks Eric & Michelle, your efforts are paying off thanks to Paradise Shores Brown Trout Project. *Other sniffers out there today were RIP, and bearfish. *We limited out today, but only kept 5 between myself & Sherry. *We released almost all the Browns but 1 that swallowed the hook and was bleeding pretty bad. *We caught some nice football rainbows as well. *Here at Paradise they have a pool for the biggest trout. RIP's wife Georgina had the biggest brown at just over 4 pounds, until somebody came in with a 5 pounder. *That's alright because the pool goes through Sunday at 2PM, so there's still a chance. *It was a beautiful day and not that crowded. *Here's some pics,

Looks absolutely gorgeous out there, nice fish too. Ive only been out that way once since in Cali but wanting to get back again, youve inspired me to do it sooner. Anyways it doesnt look like there was much scum on the water..was that the case. How does the water look the first week of june ususally? Take care

phisherman44, this time of year there's not to much grass, the south end starts getting pretty bad after Memorial day weekend, but you can usually troll the north end as it is much deeper. Even when the grass gets bad, we anchor fish in the river channels and do real good. Good Luck. Tom [smiley=angling.gif]

By the way it looks, and from what I hear it was a great opener! I wish that I was out there, but I canít complain because we boated two 5lb browns out of Stampede on Sunday and one nice Mac on Saturday. Marty S. who writes a for Western Outdoor News reported like 50 browns over 3 lbs were caught out of Bridgeport over the weekend. I surely hope that folks released some of those fish! Our brown population is just starting to recover in the Eastern Sierras. Great job on Bridgeport! Give those Crowley guys a run for their money!
