May 5&6. Fee is $25 per licensed adult, or $50 per family. Come on up. A fishsniffer should win this derby. [smiley=angling.gif]

I have been picking up between 3 and five fish every weekend since March. I have been working the shore from Pine point to the Dam and done well. I have used Power bait and some different lures and produced on every trip.

What is this boat registration thing. My boat is already registered with the DMV. I also have to register it with this lake. If I am only going to this lake one time in the whole year I have to pay this registration not just a launch fee and parking fee. That's outragous.

They can keep it. There are plenty of great lakes in California that don't charge a Reg. fee. That's bullpucky! :-? ;D

Justme,

As long as you stay off the lake from memorial to labor day you should be fine. *But make sure you have all your safety gear. *I think the Bass Lake registration is bull myself and just something you have to deal with if you want to fish the lake.

There is no registration required on derby weekend. The parking fee at the DFG ramp is $3.00 or you can park at the dam for free. There is no fee to launch. If you launch at the Pines the fee is $5.00 in and $5.00 out.

I was considering the derby too but unfortanately, I don't fish the lake enough to know where the hot spots are. I think I only fish the lake once or twice a year even though it's only an hour drive. It's just too much of a hassle hauling my bass boat up the hills. Good luck to the sniffers that will be participating. :D
